Jennifer has 10 years of experience as a Creative Technologist. She lives in Amsterdam and works in the newly created Technology Innovation Office at Nike.
After completing a degree in electrical engineering and working as a software developer, she decided to change her career track and obtained a Master of Arts in Interactive Digital Media. She has since been applying her technical skills in more creative and dynamic ways as a creative technologist in Cape Town, Berlin and currently Amsterdam. She has been fortunate enough to have worked on many international projects based in a number of different cities including Zurich, Miami, and London.
Her work ranges from conceptual development and advising on technical solutions, to R&D, prototyping and final technical implementation. She works with a vast range of technologies incorporating both hardware and software but her focus over the last few years has been on creating software that incorporates computer vision and machine learning to allow contextual interactions that seamlessly merge physical and digital realms.
She likes to push the creative use of technology in conceptually meaningful ways. She loves learning new things; is impassioned by the challenge of diving into the unknown and picking up new programming languages and tools. This, Jennifer believes, is a necessary attitude and aptitude for success in the constantly changing and dynamic world of tech.
